An experiment...

As you may or may not know, I find dating shows and dating in general pretty much completely fascinating.

You could say (if you were in an indulgent mood) that I was something of a scientist. Not that I've done a lot of dating myself. But here's the thing--I have a lot of FRIENDS who have. And they enjoy talking to me about it--and frankly, I enjoy listening. Because I find the actual dating process excruciating. I'd rather have angry monkeys punch me in the face while I run through a pit of barbecue sauce and alligators. But I love stories ABOUT dating--as long as I don't have to be personally involved.

That's why I'm forcing my friend, Mike, to tell me all the details from his upcoming speed-date.
